Cutting Instructions

Red:

  • 9 x Berries

Dark Gold:

  • 3 x bells (left bell on template sheet)

Dark Green:

  • 3 x holly leaves (centre leaf on template sheet).

Very Dark Green:

  • 6 x holly leaves (either side on template sheet).

Dark brown:

  • 1 x inner bell.

Light Gold:

  • 3 bells (right bell on template sheet)

Sewing Instructions:
Step 1: Trace the berries, bells, inside bell and holly leaves onto the smooth side of the fusible webbing with a pencil. (Cluster each of the same template together to be frugal with your fusible webbing).

Step 2: Roughly cut out each of the template groups (about 1/4" outside the pencil line) and fuse the rough side of it to the wrong side of each of the fabrics indicated, using a hot, dry iron. Cut out each of the pattern templates, neatly with sharp scissors on the pencil line..

Step 3: Peel the backing paper off the templates pieces and with the diagram (above) as a guide, fuse them onto the pieced block.

Step 4: Blanket-stitch around the edge of each of the pattern templates, using a matching stranded thread. (For Blanket Stitch instructions see Related Links at the bottom of this article)

Congratulations. You will have three lovely bells on each of your pieced blocks. Now go ahead and quilt and bind using your favorite method.
